Early in the morning of April the 7th, I set out from my camp at Bayt Ali eager for adventure. My goal was the fabled mountain of Abu Rashràshe deep in the Jordanian wilderness. This weathered hulk of rock is said to contain miles of tunnels dug by an extinct Bedouin tribe, but has been lost for decades in the shifting desert sands.
